What to look out for when buying a cheap dishwasher online
Preezie’s top tips for all those looking to buy a dishwasher online in the near future:
1. Make sure you pick the correct style
Most cheap dishwashers
are freestanding, so if that’s what you’re after make sure you find a freestanding dishwasher that is finished on all sides, this is in particular great if your renting and want to take your dishwasher with you when you move. If you’re looking for a more designer dishwasher you can run with the integrated or built in dishwashers, however make sure you remember that these don’t come with a finished front face, hence your cabinet maker will need to make one for you to fit your current kitchen design.

The single and most important aspect of looking at what dishwasher to buy is dimensions, in particular if you’re looking to buy a dishwasher online that you can’t directly measure up. Triple check your dimensions and ensure it will fit within your space, if possible leave a little room for the dishwasher to breath.
3. Energy and Water Rating
If you’re after a cheap or budget dishwasher
then you typically won’t get one with a great energy and water rating. However, if budget is no issue then please keep in mind energy and water usage. Dishwashers are getting very efficient, they are much more water efficient then hand washing, however if you can get one with higher star rating you can play your small part in helping the environment.
Similar to energy and water rating if you’re looking for a basic, budget or cheap dishwasher
you may have to simply put up with the noise you get. However if you have liberty of choice ensure you consider buying a dishwasher with a lower noise level. In particular, if you live in a small house or apartment as the dishwasher may be very close to where you watch TV. Try your best to find a dishwasher with a low noise level for peace and quiet.
Programs for most users is not as big of a deal. Most users use the default program and just press go. However, if you do tend to use your current dishwasher programs and there are particular ones you use often, ensure that your new dishwasher has those as it may save you some trouble trying to play with new settings and programs to find out what works best for you.
